At National Jet Company, our specialty is micro hole manufacturing. We can drill holes as small as .0005" (5 tenths of a thousandth of an inch, or 12.5 microns). We drill through most metals and plastics, as well as a variety of other materials. At National Jet, we control the entire drilling process internally as we manufacture our own drilling machines and drills, as well as broaches, reamers, punches, and endmills. These tools can maintain a tolerance of +.0000", and -0001". We manufacture tooling in both carbide and high-speed steel. We also have our own micro EDM process, where we can EDM holes down to .002". We use our own electrode extrusion process to EDM slots and shapes into metal, including slots for tubes and tubing. Of course, National Jet manufactures spinnerettes and die tips for the textile industry. All of our manufacturing is done in the U.S. We manufacture spinnerettes, including those with shaped holes (trilobals, deltas, and other shapes), as well as round hole spinerettes. We also manufacture die tips, die plates, and "knife edges" used in the production of non-wovens. In addition to manufacturing spinnerettes and die tips, National Jet Company also repairs spinnerettes and die tips. In many instances, we can repair these dies usually at a fraction of the cost and lead time of new ones. We also manufacture spinnerette broaches, as well as breaker plates and jet nozzles. Also, we have two wire EDM machines, including one that uses .001" wire for the intricate cut. Of course, we also have full machine shop capabilities so that we can manufacture your part as well as the small holes that it requires.
