National Jet repairs both spinnerettes and die tips, even if they weren't
manufactured by us. We can refurbish these spinnerettes, usually at a fraction
of the cost of new ones.
After a thorough inspection of your spinnerettes, we can recommend a course of action to refurbish them. We lap the spinnerette and broach all of the hole to make them consistent. Our inspection and recommendation can help you decide on the best course of action for your spinnerette. We can also repair your die tips
or knife-edge. If any of the holes have become plugged with broken tools,
our micro EDM machines can "burn" this metal out. Of course,
we broach all of the holes, and when necessary can ream the holes to size,
and give your capillary the sharp exit that you require. If the hole has
become radiused or tapered, we can recommend a course of action to help
save your die tip at a fraction of the cost of new ones.
